Philips is launching a new program called Fixables, where it will make plans available so that customers can 3D print replacement parts for the company's personal care products. The video introducing the initiative touts it as a simpler and easier way to extend the lifetimes of functional items rather than throwing them out because a single part or attachment is broken. Philips has partnered with Prusa Research and LePub on this endeavor, and Printables is hosting the plans. There are some caveats and limitations to this concept. The quality of the replacement part will depend on the materials used to create it, and not every customer has a 3D printer at home. (Although some public library systems, universities and local maker communities may have equipment that can be used or rented on site.) It's also still a project in its early stages. Fixables is initially launching in the Czech Republic. On the website for the Fixables program (which is in Czech), Philips explains that it's starting with the home country for Prusa Research and it is reaching out to the 3D printing company's existing maker community for this project. Another sign that the initiative is still in the early stages is that there's only one part plan available: a comb attachment for the OneBlade trimmer. But per Google Translate, two more plans are labeled as "We are working on it" and there are three different icons with no descriptions that point to additional plans. The Fixables website also has an option for customers to submit a request for parts they want to be able to 3D print. Supposed health nut Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the secretary of the health and human services, celebrated Mother’s Day by taking his family to swim in polluted waters. Kennedy shared photos of the excursion to Rock Creek just outside of Washington, D.C. On its Rock Create website, the National Park Service informs visitors to “stay dry, stay safe,” explaining that the ban is due to “high levels of bacteria and other infectious pathogens that make swimming, wading, and other contact with the water a hazard to human (and pet) health.” At the same time, “[s]crambling in and out of the creek can also erode stream banks, which can negatively impact habitat for the park’s aquatic wildlife,” according to the NPS. It is hard for many to imagine, let alone remember, that Kennedy was once celebrated for his environmental efforts in cleaning up the Hudson River. His legal work with the Riverkeeper organization and the Waterkeeper Alliance in the 1980s and 1990s earned him broad recognition as a champion of environmental protection. A Polícia Civil pediu a prisão do homem que, segundo investigadores, aparece em um vídeo matando o pintor Jorge Mauro Ruas de Paiva, de 51 anos, durante um pagode em um bar de Nova Iguaçu, na Baixada Fluminense, na madrugada de sábado (10).
A investigação da Delegacia de Homicídios da Baixada Fluminense indica que o assassino é o cabo Vinicius Rodrigues Pacheco, do 41º BPM.
Um vídeo de uma câmera de segurança do bar registrou o crime. Nas imagens, o PM, que atua no 41º Batalhão aparece caminhando no bar, de camisa regata, bermuda, chinelo e bermuda.
Aparentando tranquilidade, ele segura com uma mão uma lata e um copo de bebida. Na outra, carrega a pistola. Sem que ninguém note qualquer movimento violento, o PM estica o braço e começa a atirar.

A motivação para o crime ainda é investigada. Testemunhas afirmaram que os dois teriam brigado no bar onde acontecia o pagode, na Rua Manoel Henrique, no bairro Comendador Soares.
A família, no entanto, nega e diz que o atirador escolheu a vítima aleatoriamente. Segundo os parentes, o policial estava atirando a esmo nos arredores e, depois, foi em meio à multidão e escolheu qualquer um para matar.
Segundo a família do pintor, ele não se envolveu em nenhuma briga no dia do crime e não conhecia o PM que deu vários disparos contra ele.
"O meu tio estava nesse bar celebrando uma inauguração, depois de um dia cheio de trabalho e foi brutalmente assassinado, sem defesa. Não teve luta, não teve nada. Só esse assassino, andando no meio da multidão segurando uma arma e disparando contra ele. Sem defesa", relatou a sobrinha da vítima, Monique Monteiro.

Apple is planning to implement a change to pasteboard (aka your iPhone's internal clipboard) that will prevent Mac apps from being able to read the pasteboard without the user being alerted, according to information Apple has shared with developers. In macOS 16, Mac users will get an alert when a Mac app reads the pasteboard without direct user interaction. This change means apps won't be able to surreptitiously view the things you've copied and pasted. Mac users won't see an alert with a direct pasteboard-related action, like when copying and pasting text within an app that supports it. Users will be notified if an app tries to view pasteboard data when the paste feature hasn't been used. Apple says that the Mac pasteboard will work similarly to the iOS pasteboard going forward. On the iPhone and iPad, Apple blocks apps from snooping on pasteboard data, and has done so since iOS 14 after security researchers found that dozens of popular iOS apps were reading the contents of the pasteboard without user consent. Apple addressed the problem by adding a banner that notifies you when an iOS app accesses the clipboard. In iOS 15, Apple further enhanced the feature by introducing a secure paste option that prevents developers from seeing the clipboard entirely unless you copy something from one app and paste it into the app you're actively using. With the upcoming Mac changes, Mac developers will be able to "examine the kinds of data" on the pasteboard without actually reading them, improving pasteboard privacy. Pasteboard data used with the privacy-focused API won't show the alert to end users. From Apple's notice to developers: Prepare your app for an upcoming feature in macOS that alerts a person using a device when your app programmatically reads the general pasteboard. The system shows the alert only if the pasteboard access wasn't a result of someone's input on a UI element that the system considers paste-related. This behavior is similar to how UIPasteboard behaves in iOS. New detect methods in NSPasteboard and NSPasteboardItem make it possible for an app to examine the kinds of data on the pasteboard without actually reading them and showing the alert. NSPasteboard also adds an accessBehavior property to determine if programmatic pasteboard access is always allowed, never allowed, or if it prompts an alert requesting permission. You can adopt these APIs ahead of the change, and set a user default to test the new behavior on your Mac.
