When I build a Chat app with:
- Private groups (MLS)
- Public Communities (#communikeys)
... that both use kind 9 chat messages.
How do you really expect me to mix in Nip-17 and call it "DMs" or "Chat Rooms"?
When the kind 14 messages used in that Nip:
- are less secure, private and direct than the MLS I already have
- don't make the conversation have a global state
- can optionally be signed for dispute regulation
- have a subject tag, like email
- can be forked and forwarded, like email
- are perfect for one-off communication in Marketplaces,etc... like email
No thanks.
It's Nostr Mail.
Because that's what it's good for.
Not Nostr Direct Messages.
My users don't need those false promises and confusion.

- have Communities and Private Groups (both with a very clear Chat group UX and global state)
- then also mix in "Messages" or "DMs" in there somehow, that have entoerly different UX/UI characteristics

Few things I’ve noticed in life which recently came into focus again:
1. People defer their opinions until some influencer type voices theirs. Most don’t think for themselves and rely on others (even if the other lacks any substance in their argument)
2. People pile on once their group signals preference. It doesn’t matter if the arguments are logically flawed. If the group says it’s fine, it’s fine. Very few people will act out of group’s signaling just to stay consistent and not fall out of favor.
I don’t like these types of people and want to reduce my presence around them.

- You can put whatever limits (paywall, WoT, etc...) on your inbox you want here
- Automatic responses, Reactions, etc... can facilitate handling them without time-waste
Private Groups (Nip-EE) :pointright: 2, 5 and sometimes 4
- Extra Secure
- You can have way more than just Chat in there (any content type you can think of actually)
- Depending on how key packages are handled, you can't really be contacted directly. And those keypackges tsill travel through Nip-17 first anyway (at least online).
Public Communities (Nip-CC) :pointright: For moderated groups that are public

I hear that the idea is to stream Chaumin E-Cash for hash.
Who on NOSTR do I follow for this?
I would really go for a Bitaxe if it gave me even small amounts of purely
