Fees have exceeded the block reward only for few blocks during the most extreme fee events but over a day, fees peaked at 60% of the Security Budget with prior peaks of 40% several halfings ago.

Layer 2 protocols can afford to pay much higher fees per Byte for their Layer 1 needs but at this point, who even cares using L2 when L1 is dirt cheap?
Do we need spammers to increase the security budget? I think non-financial protocols could fill that gap for a while but in the past, these "protocols" often were intentionally disruptive or even openly hostile against Bitcoin, scheduling "mints" such that fees spiked which only disrupts the monetary use of Bitcoin. And that's only the fee part of these "protocols" as they bloat the UTXO set, too.

there is two ways that controversy surrounds a person:
1. they are a drama queen
2. they really are being attacked and most of the devs are either in on it or going along with it
since it has involved his computer being hacked i question the likelihood of it being 1.
i'm also a black sheep in my dev community as well and i'm basically shadowbanned from visibility even though i have had many valid points of criticism of the establishment, so i'm inclined to believe that the core devs are a bunch of sheep who are letting the wolves run wild on the backs of the users

The only way I used twitter in the past was to check the Trending page. see whats happening then leave.
The reason that was my experience was mostly because I was invisible on twitter. I could reply to anyone and almost never get a reply back.
In contrast on Reddit, I easily had long discussions and conversations with people. I would say it's similar here on nostr. now what makes Twitter a graveyard for tweets not really sure... maybe it's the algo.
Is it better here because of the small number of users, and when it gets messy no one will find anyone, I guess we will have to wait and see.

I just want a small camera, I would prefer it have a full frame sensor (hence the Sony).
I GNU/Hurd that Fujifilm has inconsistent quality in their lens (some good and bad, but no patterns as to which). Also that the XT5 is a plastic toy compared to the ZF magnesium frame, which for a travel camera actually isn't a bad thing. But what really bothers me is that Fujifilm is just as expensive as a full frame body, but the leases aren't as cheap as Nikon DX line.
