Despite the plan to abolish the tariff was supposed to take effect as early as 2022, a glitch prevented its implementation. As a result, the electric cables will be added to the list of exempt products from tariffs until May 2028 – and the state is expected to give up revenues of 1.5 million shekels per year. Will consumers feel the price drop? Not certain.
