Maybe true, but the apps are free to use and don’t sell your data to advertisers, so they have to have other ways to sustain themselves. There is no Nostr company. It’s all just a collection of independently-run apps and tools.

I get it, but had no idea that I had to solve for my own storage/usage on nostr. It makes sense and I'll look into best way to solve for me (recommendations welcome #asknostr) - but this is going to be another barrier to the average person joining nostr.

Complete restart of the whole system. I’ve done that before a couple of times. But in prior cases the channel was back online immediately. This time it took some time to come back online. (I can’t tell how long exactly). When I checked approximately half an hour later everything was fine. Sorry for bothering.
