Then this is definitely where we disagree. I don't think anyone is claiming to know your values better than you, what people like me are claiming is that this change doesn't achieve what you think it does. And when we say that, we're told that we don't understand the technical reasoning. The technical change is pretty simple. The economic reasoning is what is lacking, but it's couched in this technical language of "you don't get to comment if you're not a developer" (from last week) to "let me tell you my view as a developer" (from this week). Like I said, it's better than before, but it's really not any sort of dialogue if you implicitly dismiss the critique as coming from unknowledgeable plebs.

Imagine telling a Bitcoin noob:
“Hey, the base idea of Bitcoin is that there will never be more than 21 quadrillion bitcoins.”
They’d look at you like—what the hell are you talking about?
Now tell them the truth:
“There will only ever be 21 million Bitcoin.”
That line hits. It lands. It matters.
If you don’t understand the difference, then I honestly don’t think you understand Bitcoin, or the memetic power that drives everything we’re building in cyberspace.
This push to rebrand sats, flip decimals, and create 21 quadrillion coins is pure madness. It’s detached from reality. It’s a bizarre attempt to reshape something that’s already stood the test of 15 years.
Yes, we can improve Bitcoin. Make it more robust, more decentralized, more resistant. But start there. Start by encouraging people to run full nodes. Educate them about consensus—what it is, who holds it, why it matters.
Stop wasting energy on campaigns that solve no real problem and only risk breaking the culture that got us here.
This isn’t progress. It’s vandalism.
And it blows my mind.

I think that people who have barely heard of bitcoin know that there will only be (approximately) 21 million or at least that its supply has strict rules that do not allow absurd jumps and is decreasing.
So, going from 21 million to 21 quadrillion, overnight, especially in a currency that is known for not being able to be created out of thin air, even if it is a mere nomenclature, seems to me to be a greater detriment to adoption than making people understand that 1 BTC = 100 million sats.

A cold, hard truth a lot of social media influencer privacy / security enthusiasts won't like to admit about themselves is that you are likely to know much less than you think you actually do. Including myself.
A cyber security professional who uses all the normie-tier, status quo products will be far more safe than someone who isn't a professional and is using software focused on privacy or security. If you want to know more you need to study with the mentality like you want to be a professional.
The former groups of people know and understand the products they use and their security properties. Depending on the role they also know how to reverse engineer, discover vulnerabilities and have a consistent threat model when building defences. The latter are often using a product because some place online told them to without much critical care or observation. It shows a lack adaptive technical skills, approach or mindset.
Talented hackers and security professionals using Windows, Apple products and more aren't hiding some secret incompetence. They just know what their requirements and demands are and their choices fill them. They know they can move and use something tougher at any time should their needs change. Changing a software or a device choice is only a small part.
It's a shame that a lot of online spaces have this mentality that many things are completely compromised in secret, when in reality this only works in a nonsensical dystopia where all the intelligent people ONLY work with their perceived threat (whether it is secretive agencies, governments, some advanced actor or whatever else) and the common man is stupid. This is the same mentality that some, like flat earthers, believe how the world is run.
Being a hacker is all about learning how things work, how do you think people get to understand malware without source code? How do the bad guys break into systems they never touched?
Reading can only do so little in a specialty that changes frequently and information is outdated all the time. A book or and not every forum post can't get updated. If you want to start getting serious, log off the forums and go on a security lab platform and check out their guided training, or take a course, or get a entry level job.

The idea behind changing sats to “bitcoin” to make it sound cheaper may seem helpful for mass adoption, but it risks backfiring completely.
People already understand that 1 Bitcoin is valuable—that’s part of its appeal. Telling them that coffee now costs thousands of bitcoin would confuse them even more, not less.
This isn’t creating a Bitcoin Standard. It’s diluting the most powerful meme in Bitcoin’s history:
There will only ever be 21 million.
Trying to rewrite that just to make the unit sound smaller misses the point entirely—and honestly, it sounds more like a fiat mindset than a Bitcoin one.

Over the last couple of months, I've been developing a project that has reached a level of clarity where I can excitedly start to share…
I've been mapping bitcoin blocks, applying similar methodologies I would use when drafting architectural plans or landscapes.
