I've been wracking my brain today, in the background, over this Mexican ship situation. It initially made no sense at all how this could happen, my thinking was that something would gel in my mind and some semblance of a reason would congeal. But no. It makes less sense now than before. The only possible things that I can figure is that the captain simply didn't know the height difference, or the tug operator didn't if it was being hauled, or it was on purpose by someone. Any of those options are horrible. The only possible "accident" theory I can image, though I can't believe it, is that it was being towed and wind/tide pushed and pulled it. The "didn't know" and "accident" theories seem unbelievable to me. Am I missing another option?

I worked today because I want to finish a large part of my WIP tomorrow and hopefully polish it all off by the end of the month

This is exactly my point in this discussion.
I would also add that in this case the regulatory change would affect a crucial point of what we know about Bitcoin: the fact that its supply does not change overnight.
Ok, the change is just a nomenclature change, but besides being forced, it gives the appearance that the amount of bitcoins available has changed.
Furthermore, if it is difficult to explain to a newbie that the smallest unit of Bitcoin is the satoshi (the creator of it), and that there are 100 million satoshi for each Bitcoin, how difficult would it be to explain that there were 21 million bitcoins and now there are 21 quadrillion, but the supply still has not increased.
Think about it, you are explaining this to the same person who would not be able to understand that 100 million sats is equivalent to one Bitcoin.

I’ve just finished “The Bitcoin Standard” by Saifedean Ammous. I am already a Bitcoiner since 2022 but learned that every society/empire has fallen due to unsound money(inflating the money supply) seems to be a trend in today’s world too!
I’m now starting “The Big Print” by Lawrence Leonard and am loving it so far.
Any recommendations for other content on podcasts, YouTube, and books, please feel free to enlighten me!
