I get the impression it's more the other way around. Given the amount of attacks, it's more like too many people all had very precise expectations and I got attacked because I didn't satisfy them all at the right time with the right results and attitude etc.
This makes a lot more sense as an explanation, given the insane amount of bullshit thrown my way.
