By far the biggest challenge to online political discourse is American doublespeak.
For example, the rest of the world uses the word liberal to refer to what Americans call libertarians.
And libertarians to the rest of the world means socialists, but in USA the term socialism has absolutely nothing to do with socialism and instead just refers to social welfare under capitalism.
As long as americans are using the opposite definition to the rest of the world the discourse always just devolves into arguing about definitions.
Like communism, by definition is stateless but somehow Americans have been brainwashed to think that communism is statism.
There are many many more examples.

Ich bin mir bewusst, dass Menschenhandel oft einher geht mit sexueller ausbeutung. Aber ich hätte jetzt gesagt, onlyfans ist wohl eine der Plattformen, wo am ehesten freiwillige angebote von Frauen angeboten werden können, die das selbstbestimmt machen.
Ich bin mir daher nicht sicher, wen dieses gesetz schützen soll. Und ob das im verhältnis dazu steht gegenüber menschen, welche gerne dienste auf onlyfans anbieten wollen.
PS: Mein Geld investiere ich in keiner Weise in diese Plattform und dessen Dienste. Ich finde es bloss ein wichtiges Thema in zusammenhang der Gleichstellung von Mann und Frau. Und ich begrüsse die extremen Regeln zu Prosititution in Schweden. Auch wenn ich es vor allem unterstütze, damit durch Studien die Wirksamkeit der Regelungen untersucht werden kann.
