Correct, it has to verify every transaction.
The moment it reads the OP_RETURN byte it sees the transaction as valid and the UTXO unspendable. It doesn’t read the arbitrary data afterwards because it doesn’t need to and can prune the output immediately.

Went to check on the bird feeder and go on a walk and ran across a bunny rabbit. Usually they run off before I can snap a pic. This one gave me enough time before darting off.

I just did so, briefly, and ... it does not really work well on such a narrow screen, If you scale the screen in a way that leads to more than 360 logical pixels in width, it may work.

Sure, but that is just a secret management scheme. You can do that regardless of which encrypted blob server protocol you choose. Now that frost can decrypt files with sharded keys, it's just a matter of time until we get a signer that can coordinate secret sharing between many keys.
