Prezident USA Donald Trump v Bílém domě ve středu přivítal prezidenta Jihoafrické republiky Cyrila Ramaphosu v době, kdy se mezi státy stupňuje napětí. Trump prohlásil, že v Jihoafrické republice dochází ke „genocidě“, a obvinil zemi z „ohavného jednání“ vůči afrikánské komunitě, což Pretoria odmítá. Americký prezident potomkům evropských přistěhovalců zaručil status uprchlíka. USA již dříve zmrazily pomoc a vyhostily jihoafrického velvyslance. Trump zemi hrozil také třicetiprocentními cly, píše agentura Reuters.
