I believe in something I call the Onion strategy.
You need a proportional amount of your wealth in a portion of everything relative to your net worth / asset allocation.
So the Savings is your underlying, actual intrinsic value, the Stocks are your appreciation, and revenue /income tools, and Crypto, and metals are the inflation hedge.
You can introduce different tools like Corporate, and Government Bonds, treasuries, real estate, Collateralized Debt, alternative investing (comics, shoes, pokemon cards, toys, etc.), and various other investment vehicles.
But the ratio can be different for everyone else but I think that each aspects of your finances should all grow relative even if subpar results are achieved.
Even in worse case with Savings, you can utilize to buy dips if emergencies don't arise.
