The first time I hiked Gros Morne, I met a fella who had a camera set up on a tripod. I asked him about it, and he told me he had been recording videos of each hike he completed for decades so that he could stitch them together and watch them from his cooperate office.
I was young and broke - remembering I slept in the parking lot the night before… thinking I could never afford a camera and tripod.
but that stuck with me. I document my hikes so that one of these days I can stitch together my footage and be out on the land while behind a desk.

Funny you should ask. I just saw this today with Gossip client. It wouldn’t render an image because of hash mismatch. Amethyst also does something similar, showing a red ! icon if the image has been altered post-upload.

Free media hosting services on Nostr have file size limitations, and video is especially tricky because it has to be compressed before uploading.
If you use Adobe Media Encoder you can specify a target file size and as long as you keep it under 10 MB you it should be able to upload it.
Also check out nostr:npub1nxy4qpqnld6kmpphjykvx2lqwvxmuxluddwjamm4nc29ds3elyzsm5avr7’s paid version that gives you more storage space, or nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg‘s premium level.
