The more I explore Nostr—especially clients like Primal—the more limited it feels in some ways. I really prefer Damus overall, but I do like Primal’s Explore page.
I’ve tried Nostur, still getting used to it. Also heard some chatter about Yakihonne—curious to try it out.

And here’s the biggest lie of all —
That war ends when Palestinians leave Gaza.
No.
Globally — that’s not how war ends.
War ends when we stop the bullies.
When we dismantle the tyrants.
When we take power back from the empires that burn babies alive and call it “defense.”
War doesn’t end when the oppressed escape.
It ends when the oppressor is stopped.
This system teaches compliance.
To be polite.
To think that leaving = peace.
But peace without justice is just silence under occupation.
War ends when humanity says no.
No to every massacre.
No to every land grab.
No to every regime that treats human lives like targets on a map.
That’s when war ends.

I saw the image. I read the names.

Kinda. When I was younger I remember being on there before they had a retweet button. People would copy the tweet and then write RT at the top and paste it in there. That was peak Twitter imo. I got off all social media at some point then got back on again to follow sports news. When I got into Bitcoin late in 2022 I started following the large Bitcoin accounts but it was such a shitshow. Never interacted with any of them because my replies were just buried and building up a following felt like a pain in the ass. So I didn’t use it much and noticed I was just arguing with random retards. Then I found out about nostr and deleted twitter completely some time after that. Odell inspired me and it wasn’t hard because I was barely using it anyway. I also didn’t like the blue check and verification shit that Elon was doing.

Après il est vrai que bitcoin est une bonne solution pour un changement non violent.
Malheureusement ceux qui veulent créer de la valeur et du travail autour du bitcoin en France se font énormément taxé, ou doivent finalement être payer ou prendre des comissions en fiat pour éviter plus de taxes, alors que le but serait d'être sur un bitcoin standard.
La France ne sera jamais prête pour ça. La dette de l'état qui monte en flèche incite a encore plus de dettes et donc de taxes, impots. A moins d'un grand changement politique je ne vois pas comment ca pourrait changer.
Parce que aussi bien a l'extrême droite que à gauche, le systeme social d'aides et de subventions, financer par des taxes, est ancré dans absolument tout les partis.

If you try to turn profits in the incubation stage, you inevitably strangle growth and quality suffers.
That's why grants have turned out to be such a problematic model: people usually view them as personal income and spend them on rent and food, rather than seeing them as investment income in a business they are building, that should be reinvested in making that business grow. That's why they slow or stop working, when the grants run out, or they jump to some other project, to collect grant monies for that. They haven't bothered building something that *generates income*, so their economic incentive to continue the effort evaporates.
And that's why they only write code, rather than build infrastructure and processes: you can just drop code and walk away, with no bills, no staff, no contracts, and no further expectations of services delivered.
Slam, bam, thank you ma'am, but make it FOSS.

I mean, if you think about overall resources, rather than merely Bitcoin income, we're one of the biggest projects. The services and hardware adds up to a small fortune, and we have some Bitcoin income, but there's no profit margin because we reinvest everything.
We haven't surpassed Primal, in budget size, tho.
