Since I added logging and now I can see the cause of a lot of dropped messages. I'm gunna make a hotfix then rewrite how to handle messages to the client. I overcomplicated it and got unintended results... naturally... Still broken as of this note.

Every single one of those units actually have infinite precision; so yes. There are many things in the world that are measured in fractions of a cent. While uncommon in day to day commerce, it exists, and markets don't get confused.
When USD was strong, dollars were out of reach, and cents were used day to day. People didn't get confused.
I am not sure coddling the public and treating them like toddlers is the path towards a sefl-sovereign society.
I do understand the arguments, but like many others, it is suspicious that this "decision" is an elitist, top-down initiative. It feels contrived.

🤔 there are some generally good arguments for this, namely the perception of accessibility. I also have experienced the confusion from the uninitiated regarding bitcoin, and the perception that it is "out of reach" or "too late."
A potential unintended consequence of this change however would be a devalued perception of bitcoin.
"Strong" fungible currencies more often than not have subunits. Interestingly, the only fungible monetary instruments without subunits are highly inflated currencies where a singular unit is useless for economic use (VES, ZWL, LBP, TRY, ARS, IRR, SDG, SYP, AOA, ETB, HUF, DONG, etc)

This is fantastic. The ability to reference an nostr entities in a human readable and communicable way enables many new use cases in the physical world.
One of the complaints about nostr I often get from the uninitiated are that the links are too long and it makes thepeople they share it with suspicious.

`hexproxy` is a simply transparent proxy written in go that routes requests to its respective network; tor, i2p or loki. Clearnet requests are routed over tor unless you enable the passthrough. I use `hedproxy` as a transparent proxy in the nostr.watch agent containers so that my application code remains 100% network agnostic and so that I can easily define and deploy multi-network monitors. I also use it on some of my personal machines to make browsing easier.
`hedproxy` is a fork of `fedproxy`, which is a simple, well-written transparent proxy made by "majestrate". `fedproxy` was built from a lokinet first perspective however, and that didnt' suite my use case.
The lokinet support in `hedproxy` is symbolic since lokinet didn't have a docker container. However, when they finish the one that appears to be in development, it should work out of the box.

On Nostr.land it’s pretty simple
You pay a fixed fee, and I store your notes and archive them as long as you continue paying
There’s a fair use policy but that is it (abusing the service or using an unfair amount of resources)
Unlike some other relays which want one-time fees, there’s no cross-subsidization

So strange.
It still bothers me that so many people can't be bothered to check stuff. The very little code I've written has always been to interact with hardware to produce a result that is expected without killing the system. All of these loose ends are to be expected in complex systems, but, the lack of GAF over this stuff really cheeses me off.

It's a ETF wrapper on vanguard total stock market index fund .. I personally invest in VTSAX ..the index fund below VTI cuz it is way less fees ..but for most people VTSAX is but mouthful :-) ...
