Inspired by the rooftops of great metropolises, a 135m² apartment in Águas Claras reveals how the vertical landscape can be incorporated into daily life with elegance, comfort, and identity. The project is signed by artist and designer Cecília Herculano, in partnership with architect Alice Lima. With a proposal that combines sophistication and functionality, the renovation transformed the spaces completely. The old balcony was integrated into one of the bedrooms to make way for the new master suite for the couple. The old main bedroom now houses guests. From the beginning, our focus was on keeping the view present from the entrance door. This visual axis guided all the layout decisions. The social area was redesigned from scratch, prioritizing integration and fluidity between the spaces. Natural materials such as wood and stone create a cozy and refined atmosphere. The bathroom highlights the contrast between rustic Roman travertine and a granite black sink. Outside, the moled stone, ipê deck, and lush landscaping surround a hot tub, adding aesthetics and relaxation to the project - executed by Guarambá Paisagismo. The punctual lighting highlights volumes and textures without excess. In the kitchen, the island and Bianco Superiore table share space with chairs designed by Brasiliense designer Lucas Camares. In the living room, the lateral Adobe table by Guilherme Wentz and an original work by Cecília Herculano compose a curation that balances affection, design, and art. More than a beautiful apartment, the project represents a contemporary and sensitive way to inhabit the city. We wanted a space with soul, that would welcome and, at the same time, open up to what's around it, summarizes the designer.
