A venda de veículos eletrificados tem avançado na região. Números da Associação Brasileira do Veículo Elétrico (ABVE) mostram que, em média, foram emplacados quatro modelos por dia nas cidades de Piracicaba, Limeira e Santa Bárbara d'Oeste no primeiro quadrimestre de 2025.
Entre janeiro e abril foram vendidas 486 unidades nas três cidades, contra 365 do mesmo período do ano anterior, o que representa uma alta de 33,1%.

🚗 Os dados consideram as vendas de veículos elétricos híbridos plug-in (PHEV), elétricos 100% a bateria (BEV) e elétricos híbridos convencionais sem recarga externa (HEV), tanto automóveis, SUVs e comerciais leves.
Emplacamentos de veículos eletrificados
Percentualmente, o maior crescimento no período foi registrado em Limeira, com alta de 57,7% no período. Santa Bárbara dOeste teve alta de 38,2%, e Piracicaba contabilizou aumento de 19%.
Embora seja o menor percentual, Piracicaba é a cidade com maior número de vendas na região, com 256 entre janeiro e abril. Na série histórica da ABVE, que considera dados desde 2022, já são 1.469 emplacamentos.

De acordo com a ABVE, o mercado brasileiro de veículos eletrificados "tem apresentado uma expansão acelerada nos últimos dois anos, impulsionada pelo aumento da oferta de modelos e pela entrada de novos fabricantes no setor".
