Big power outages in areas where it's unexpected like yesterday help us realize how we can all of a sudden become dependent on each other again.
Better not forget this, try to be nice to people or at least don't shit on them for petty reasons.
Oh, and get some things that help you last longer like:
- UPS with backup power sources
- Physical cash (ecash in a cypherpunk future)
- Alternative communication devices like meshtastic or ham radio
- Oil lamps, candles and such for lighting
- Spare fuel
- ... hellknows, visit these survivalist sites :)
Also good to know, the Mandibles writes about an event like that, as sort of a precursor to what comes after...
