I was visiting the U.S. Bureau of Engraving & Printing in Washington a while ago (I think it was 2018, it was definitely when I was writing 21 Lessons, funnily enough) and the one thing that's still stuck in my mind is that they had a sign on the wall that read "We make money the old-fashioned way: we print it" - it was so on the nose and so self-aware and so not funny, I just can't forget it. https://relay.dergigi.com/4a17a80a8a16e48b3df0f204dfe8f14d7859484703497117522b358aebc85ab2.jpg
