He certainly had his moments of going after academia pretty hard. There is a speech he gave at a university in Brazil (if my memory serves) that was pretty pointed. But it didn’t often come from a place of anger, just a perspective on how poorly and self centered the design of academia was and how it refused to allow for creativity and questioning and what a profound disservice to genuine science it was.
But his writing and recordings of his words are pretty clear for how he thinks about most things. Last one I listened to by him was a collection of his thoughts and stories from his life. Was a really enjoyable book.
(He doesn’t have too many books it’s easy to get through all of them and they are all pretty fun listens/reads imo)
“The Pleasure of Finding Things Out” is another one that stands out in my mind.
