Bitcoin is a way to safeguard your wealth, Monero is a way to transact digitally with very reasonable privacy.
They are both good at the jobs they set out to do I don't know what the fuss is about.
Yes, maybe in a utopian future, Bitcoin will have privacy too. But I'd vote for more careful development especially when there's monero that does the job anyway.
I like lightning and it is probably "good enough" for most people, but it's primary usecase is to make Bitcoin transactable, privacy is just a side-effect you get when you self-host, carefully.
