If the US doesn't require KYC or they have figured out a way around it, I'd be happy for them to come back!!!
I kept my Swedish app store in part so I didn't need to fuss with the US app store not supporting Wallet of Satoshi. But my husbands stayed on his phone. It just couldn't be updated after it was removed from the US app store. But could still be accessed by sneaky downloads as I understand it. (I don't remember the proper word for what I call "Sneaky" 😅)
