💡One good #OpSec tip that most people overlook: Watch what’s in the background of your photos and videos.
Why? Most people focus on hiding their face or blurring their location, but tiny background details can expose more than you think.
🔹Reflections: Mirrors, windows, sunglasses, and even shiny objects can reveal your surroundings or who’s with you.
🔹Geolocation Clues: A street sign, a landmark, or a unique pattern on a wall can be used to pinpoint your location.
🔹Devices & Screens: If you take a picture near your laptop, a visible screen could leak sensitive information (emails, usernames, or even open files).
🔹Handwritten Notes: Whiteboards, sticky notes, and papers in the background can give away passwords, plans, or personal details.
Interpol and OSINT communities use these tactics all the time, along with metadata embedded in your photos.
