I simply made a note of what sort of effort I expect from them, going forward, and what sort of effort I do not expect from them. Also, I have no idea why I should care about someone's experiment. As if people willing to fiddle with code bases are some sort of rare breed. As if you have to pay people to play. You pay people to *work*.
