✍️ The Israeli parliament, the Knesset, has approved a bill that allows the coalition to appoint a new ombudsman for complaints against judges, replacing the current system where the ombudsman is appointed by the Judicial Appointments Committee.

👉 The new ombudsman will be chosen by a committee of seven members
👉 The ombudsman will be responsible for investigating complaints against judges
