I don't see it being massively adopted simply because not having an email and password to login is too confusing for most people. Pair that with having to store the nsec in a safe space (they'll shove it in notepad or the cloud that is later hacked), having to register the npub in order to have a readable "username" and having to use a separate app/plugin in order to login to other websites because using the nsec directly is not safe.
One way that could make it popular would be to have popular musicians put their music on Wavlake, but I had a look and from the about 150 musicians I listen to none of them are there.
