lots of people have picked COVID as an inflection point in history, and for sure it has been.
but to me the larger moment was Luigi Mangione.
I have still not quite understood the significance.
but it’s something to do with individualism, agency, tyranny, and the singularity.
one man, using technology of today, affecting all of society. the message was written in blood and most looked away after engaging in the spectacle.
but if we keep looking… what are we seeing?
I don’t like what’s happening. The masses turn to the figureheads instead of the systems, and this leads to violence.
If people think that is effective… where are we going next?
