*In the Shadow of the Moon* could have been a decent sci-fi detective story, but the BLM elements and a lip-enhanced, one-meter-tall character effortlessly taking everyone down ruin the overall impression. The entire film is an anti-Trump narrative, simultaneously portraying anti-globalists as universal evil that should be destroyed, even if it requires time travel. Of course, the protagonist, with no real motivation, will try to stop it, and, of course, he'll be convinced to repent.
