In the reign of Emperor Maximian, Isihie, a high-ranking officer, openly professed his faith when called upon to offer sacrifices to idols. He declared Christ as the true God. His steadfastness enraged the Emperor, who ordered Isihie to be tortured, hoping to break his spirit. But Isihie endured these torments with unwavering faith, strengthened by divine grace. Seeing that neither threats nor torments could sway him, Maximian commanded that he be beheaded. Even in his final moments, Isihie glorified God.
