After his meeting with Pope Leo XIV, President Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Vatican for its willingness to act as a venue for direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
“We’re open to dialogue in any format that leads to real outcomes,” Zelensky stated. “We value the Vatican’s support and its firm position in favor of a just and lasting peace.”
