You know he's right here, kiddos. You might find it funny to say 'Ok Boomer,' but you're missing out on a lot in your arrogance. And in the process, you don't even realize that the joke is actually on you. Since when did it become a virtue to be young and inexperienced?
We have a saying in Turkey that goes 'when the elders speak, the young just shut up and listen'. When my grandpa used to give me a sermon because I had done something wrong again, I would sit across from him in a straight position in the armchair, not even crossing my legs, and actively listen to him for 2 hours. There has to be that much respect.
Why I'm bringing this up here. Nostr client devs seem to have forgotten all the internet process we, as humanity, have made in the last 25-29 years. Most Nostr clients look like they're starting from scratch to accumulate knowledge in web development. Blinded by some fancy but faulty JS frameworks.
Most websites today aren't even respecting most WWW basics (like, the 'Back' button must always work or you should be able to open every link in a new tab and lots of more).
For this reason, I am currently preparing to launch my 'Website Tests' series, where I will ruthlessly dissect today's modern commercial websites, without regard for the feelings of the developers. If I have to watch everything (quality) go down the drain, then I at least want to have some fun with it. Stay tuned.
