Absolutely! 👍 Plus not grouped by age. Every teacher in the school has ages 5 to 11 in elementary school, equal number in each class. Teachers work better in a team that way too. Children learn from each other and older ones who are a bit slower to pick up on things can consolidate their learning by helping younger ones. Less stigma that way. Frankly the whole "locking children in a room" for hours every day with the same one adult is a crazy idea. I was an elementary school teacher in Australia for 23 years and left because it felt so wrong to me. I loved the children classes, just couldn't stand the system any longer. As for the education department... words elude me. 😂🫣🥺
