My suggestion is get an AppleTV box and just go just Internet. If there is something you want that is not on streaming just buy it on iTunes. If you have kids on family sharing, they can watch it at their place. My son wanted to watch “Better Call Saul”. Two clicks and he can watch the entire series at his place for $49.99. I just did this last night.
Yes, you can do AppleTV on your SmartTV but I don’t want it watching me. So it’s not connected to the internet.
