2025-03-11 17:21:11They aren't similar in design, it's just that they came about at the same time, and this coincided with traditional phpBB style forums dying off. Discord is a confusing mess. Voting on Reddit leads to brigading and groupthink. I miss old style forums. No algorithm, OP's ordered by most recent activity, comments ordered chronologically, with pinned threads for truly important information. #nostrBB
