The outgoing Uruguayan Foreign Minister, Omar Paganini, expressed in an interview that the “political instability” in Venezuela ends up impacting the whole continent because it is not only a “problem of democracy” but a matter of “continental security” where “eight million people have been expelled” from Venezuela to the rest of the countries in the region. He also pointed out that “It seems to me that each government is free to do this, but frankly I believe that if the regime has shown anything, it is that it has no will for dialogue of any kind”.
