Hieromartyr Evangelicus of Tomis, pray to God for us! As a bishop in ancient Tomis (modern Constanța), during a time of persecution, Evangelicus stood firm in his faith. When questioned by authorities, he refused to renounce Christ, declaring his unwavering loyalty to the Savior. He was subjected to torture, but his spirit remained unbroken. Finally, he was beheaded for his faith. His martyrdom strengthened the resolve of the Christian community in the region, inspiring many to remain steadfast in their belief.
