I don't know that it necessarily shows that there are more scams in Bitcoin per se.
I would say that there are clear incentives for people to operate on NOSTR in ways that are completely self serving. That's less true on other platforms. On X, the X payday algorithm is based on certain engagement stats so in order to win that game, players have to play by those rules.
Here, influencers with large followings reap significant income in the form of zaps and they don't even engage with the people who are zapping them.
For many of the big accounts on NOSTR, their purpose here is entirely about service to the self, not about being of service to others. Perhaps the biggest example of this is the GM trend. What a completely valueless trend. Why anyone would zap a GM post, I don't understand.
