I like honest reviews and your comment about the music not being all that live rings a bell.
Went to a private party in QT with Pitch Black spinning music. Great gig, good music. At some stage I went outside & found a quiet window behind the band & watched for a while.
The whole gig was a single, pre-mixed stereo track. The band twiddled some EQ knobs & pushed unused faders up and down. Easy money.
I felt cheated, but didn't tell the party boy.
