We used MiAcademy.com (paid) for awhile too.
We have since switched to mostly an unschooling model where our 13yo learns about things that interest him.
There is a list of personal/professional skills we want him to accel at so we do 2-week sprints on those.
Basically we chunked his day into blocks.
He’s really into Basketball and so we tend to tie in things like nutrition, healthy baking, and body mechanics etc
His typical day looks like:
- Solo bball training (ball handling, plyometrics, strength)
- personal/professional activity A
- bball with trainer
- personal/professional activity B
- core items (Bible/devotions, reading for fun, hands on activity ie baking)
Non-bball stuff takes about 3 hours.
