I installed MacPorts on this machine because I don’t want to deal with the “mac homebrew timebomb” that is Mac HomeBrew.
Which, I must note, turned out to be an unexpected nightmare to install, because I didn’t give “Full Disk Access” to Terminal beforehand. (Or, quite possibly, Installer itself.)
So, both the Installer and ‘port’ wouldn’t be able to save any of the “ports” to the disk, producing instead a torrent of >>unseen<< errors that nearly filled the SSD.
Much fun was had.
