The Manhattan Project involved thousands of scientists, engineers, and workers spread across multiple sites, each focusing on different parts of the project, such as uranium enrichment, bomb design, and theoretical physics. Most of them didn’t know the full scope of the project.
They only knew their immediate tasks. This compartmentalization ensured secrecy and efficiency, and it helped prevent any single person from having all the knowledge about the atomic bomb before it was ready.

The Apollo Program, The Panama Canal construction, The Interstate Highway System.
