i expect that whosoever is willing to sling a rifle over their shoulder and use it is gonna be way ahead of the crowd in the future, also, being able to subsist on the margins...
my cunning plan is boating... always food out there, and can always trade food for raw materials or services such as maintaining said boat and said rifle
and i'm not all that confident about the survivability of the internet in general, i think that there will be a regression on this front thanks to space weather, we are coming around to the "light side" of the sun, the face that is towards the galactic center, and that face has the most energy being pointed at it, and that energy is twisting around in the next 20 years to effects that will be pretty drastic... probably only deep inland at high altitude and people with boats are gonna do ok
