After the White House called the move a “hostile and political act” earlier today, Amazon has now released a statement claiming that they never intended to show their customers the effect that tariffs would have on the price of certain products, with them stating, “The team that runs our ultra low cost Amazon Haul store has considered listing import charges on certain products. This was never a consideration for the main Amazon site and nothing has been implemented on any Amazon properties.”
