AHHHHHHRGGGG
How do I get my debian/wayland/gnome machine to indicate when it is about to lock the screen?
I used to see the screen fade to black slowly, allowing me to hit a key or move the mouse **and** allowing me to type in my password with confidence when the screen was black as that meant it was locked.
Now with Wayland, for some reason I can not tell if that black screen is just black or locked as to avoid having to type in the password every time I observe the lock screen's activation I have a delay for locking after blanking. If I come back from grabbing a coffee, I have to hit a key to see if my chat comes up or my lock screen prompt.
Wild speculation: People far less cautious than myself probably type their password into chat windows all the time.
How can I configure some visual clue when the screen is about to be locked? A timer, a screen saver, whatever ...
