we have had two major atmospheric electrical phenomena in the last week, puerto rico got hit, and yesterday morning portugal and spain
unfortunately you already can't see what happened yesterday, in the animation, but yesterday at the point the light area crosses over around the area of gibraltar, yesterday there was an intense rise in atmospheric electricity
i'm glad i wasn't affected, we are far enough away from where it happened... the way Ben describes the pattern it starts off the coast of spain and then arcs down to the right towards the mediterranean
this event suggests we are looking at a very likely intense space weather month coming up, last year it was may when the first really big hit came through, and i did the math and figured out that this is because in may we come around to the "light side" of the sun, the face of the sun that is towards the centre of the galaxy
