Hermes, a former soldier, was brought before Emperor Maximian after being denounced as a Christian. Refusing to renounce his faith despite torture, an angel healed his wounds, leading him to destroy pagan idols. He converted Judge Olimpius, who witnessed the miracle, and his entire household. Hermes was beheaded, remaining steadfast in his belief in Christ.
