He downloaded the app of obedience and gave thanks for his rationed dopamine.
He praised the algorithms that watched him, tracked him, ranked him, judged him.
Then came the fire—the collapse not of markets, but of meaning.
And he cried out, “Where is my rescue? Where is my universal basic deliverance?”
But the machines had no answer.
And the curve had moved on.
For he was not a verifier.
He was not a hodler.
He was not a builder.
