I honestly don't remember what brought me to Nostr. It was probably a podcast, but I couldn't tell you which one. I came in with no real appreciation for what this meant, but I enjoy tinkering with stuff, so learning kept me around to focus on something other than my undergrad. I stay because I learn something new about sovereignty, tech, Bitcoin, food, and many other topics constantly.
If a few of years ago someone would have told me I'd end up being a Bitcoin node and nostr relay running, home mining maxi who bathes using beef tallow as soap and lotion purchased with bitcoin over lightning, and eats multiple locally raised, grassfed steaks a day, I wouldn't have believed you. This community changed me.
