My wife did emergency for half a year in 2022. During COVID, she was moved to ICU and quite liked it, so she thought she'd give emergency a try. She hated it... They were super short staffing, non stop busy, and the pay was the same for more work.
She started in neuro rehab and decided to come back to it, after the emergency experience.
We've had an influx of immigrants in Canada, and it is being felt in the healthcare system. It's forcing lots of changes in the way things are being handled.
