A good money protocol has no opinion on how it’s used.
A good communication protocol has no opinion on what is said.
What is said and why it’s used are the sole decisions of ‘moral agents’ (I.e., people ) that exist beyond the boundary of any technical infrastructure.
I am not saying that I am advocating a free-for-all, but when you attribute any modicum of moral agency or responsibility to a digital platform or technical infrastructure that’s where you get into trouble over the long run.
That doesn’t mean, that in the #nostr you can’t set up an ‘ethical relay’. You can do whatever you want - it’s just that the #nostr protocol itself is silent on whatever you are doing. That is a good thing.
